Who we are
Stonehill Stables is a Horse Boarding Stable Located in Renfrew, Ontario.
We are a small family-owned farm located beside the town of Renfrew catering to both English and Western riders. We have boarders that participate in hunters, jumpers, team penning, sorting, dressage, driving and also lots of hacking on the trails.
Our History
In June 2006, we purchased our farm in Renfrew Ontario and in order to share our dream we opened it up to a few select boarders. We are slowly expanding and enjoying our time with other horse lovers.

Owners - Darlene and James Grant
Darlene first started riding lessons at age 16 and in her 20s bought her first horse Cajun. Darlene is having fun with Jessie (QH) and driving Beauty (Percheron).
James was born on a farm in Crysler and looked forward to moving back to a farm after living in town. Little did he know that horses were to play a major part in his life. James' horse is Peewee (QH).
Audrey is the smallest member, but of course she already has a pony named Bandit.
Brian and Wendy Higgins were looking for a life of easy retirement and instead are working harder on the horse farm. Brian's horse is Cash (Paint). Wendy's has a donkey called Jasper.
Chris Higgins has two horses, Pirate (QH) and Fiona (Irish Draft/TB). Chris has done all sorts of things with them. Such as, hunters, jumpers and even team penning and sorting.
Our Philosophy
We offer Premier Care with a Small Town Atmosphere. We are horse lovers that will take care of your horses like our own.
What we do
Indoor Board $400 per Month (Plus HST)
Outdoor Board $250 per Month (Plus HST)
Large and Bright Box Stalls with Rubber Mats- 10' x 10' and 12' x 12'
Shavings used for Bedding
Individual Feed Program
Grain or Minerals Twice a Day, if Required
